Guest Lecturers
The CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College organizes guest lectures and seminars so as to cover the gaps in the curriculum and make the students industry ready. Eminent personalities from renowned institutions and industries are invited to serve as the resource persons of such events
Faculty Development programs are also organized regularly in various specialized areas to keep the faculty members updated with the latest technologies and practices in the industry They also get hands on training so as to be well equipped in training the students.
A Seminar on “Introduction to Microsoft Visual Studio” was organized by the CSE Department on 22ndAugust 2017.
Programming concepts and architecture of Visual Studio were explained by resource person Mr. G. Pavan, Director of Asp Logistics Solutions, Bangalore. B. Tech students and faculty members of CSE department attended the guest lecture.
A guest lecture on “Win Automation Tool” was organized by the CSE Department on 24th August 2017 at Srinivasa Ramanujan Seminar Hall.
Resource person, Mr. M. Deepak, alumnus of Narayana Engineering College, who passed out in the 2015-16 batch delivered the guest lecture. B.Tech students and faculty members of the CSE department attended the guest lecture.
A guest lecture on “Software Testing Tools” was organized on 26th August 2017 at Srinivasa Ramanjuan Seminar Hall by the CSE Department.
Resource person and former student of Narayana Engineering College, Mr. Y. Praveen from Test Analyst, DXC Technology, Chennai presented the seminar. Students and faculty members of the CSE department attended the guest lecture.
A Coding Club was started in the CSE Department on 16th September 2017. As part of this event, Dr. P. Sai Kiran, Professor, Dept of CSE from K L University, Nellore delivered a guest lecture on “Importance of Coding
Techniques and Best Coding Practices”.
Faculty members and coding students of CSE department attended the guest lecture and were greatly inspired.
Narayana Engineering College was one among a few colleges shortlisted for the event themed "Blockchain Hackathon” hosted by APITA (Andhra Pradhesh Information Technology Academy). The first level of the Hackathon was conducted in Narayana Engineering College Campus on 22nd and 23rd of September 2017. As part of this event, Mr. V. Prashanth, CTO, Hackmania Technology Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad and Mr. K. Naveen, Software Developer, Hackmania Technology Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad delivered a guest lecture on “Blockchain Technology” on 22nd September 2017. Faculty members and students of CSE Department participated in the event.
On 16th October 2017, chief guest and speaker Dr. K. Raghava Rao, Professor
- Head, Department Of CSE, KL University inaugurated the beginning of the CSI Student Chapter at Visveswaraiah Auditorium of NEC, Nellore.
As part of the event, the speaker delivered a Guest Lecture on the topic “Wireless Sensor Networks & its Applications using IoT”. Third and final year B. Tech. students and faculty members of the CSE Department of NECN participated in the event.
2012 – 2016 batch alumnus Mr. N. Akhil, Technical Engineer, R&D, Synopsis, Bangalore visited the CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 15th February 2018 to deliver a guest lecture on “Future of R&D in Information Technology”.
Mr. Akhil shared his work experiences with the students of CSE Department and inspired them by his influential speech. He also answered many interesting questions raised by the students and concluded the lecture with a sweet note on his memories in the college.
2013 – 2017 batch alumna Ms. Abhinaya Vishnu from Google, Hyderabad visited the CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 16th February 2018 to deliver
a guest lecture on “Latest developments in the IT Industry”.
Ms. Abhinaya shared her work experiences with the students and inspired them to work hard to reach great heights in career. She also answered many queries that were raised by the students and cherished the time spent with the faculty members and juniors back in her college.
2012 – 2016 batch alumna Ms. K. L Sahitha who works as a Software Engineer with CGI, Bangalore visited the CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 24th February 2018 to deliver a guest lecture on “Career Development”.
Ms. Sahitha shared her work experiences with the students and inspired them to work hard to reach great heights in career. She also answered many queries that were raised by the students and cherished the time spent with the faculty members and juniors back in her college.
2012 – 2016 batch alumna Ms. M. Mounika pursuing M. Tech course in JNTU Anantapur visited the CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 24th February 2018 to deliver a guest lecture on “Career Development”.
Ms. Mounika shared her post graduation experiences with the students and inspired them to pursue higher studies. She also answered many queries that were raised by the students and cherished the time spent with the faculty members and juniors back in her college.
2012 – 2016 batch alumna Ms. J. S. N. Sirisha who works as a Systems Engineer with CTS, Bangalore visited the CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 24th February 2018 to deliver a guest lecture on “Career Development”. Ms. Sirisha shared her work experiences with the students and inspired them to work hard to reach great heights in career. She also answered many queries that were raised by the students and cherished the time spent with the faculty members and juniors back in her college.
An excellent motivational speech was delivered by Mr.Kaja Masthan from Prerana Foundation in the event that was organized on 16th September 2017 by the Association of Computer Engineers (ACE).
The session was interactive and the students were motivated in the areas of covering goal setting, goal
achievement, effective decision making and skills development. The students were inspired and were encouraged to nurture their skills and to become goal-oriented.
A seminar on “Data Analytics” was organized by the CSE department on 12th October 2017.
Resource person Mr. N. Sai Avinash, Data Analyst, NASA Projects Ltd presented the seminar. Faculty members and B.Tech students of CSE Department participated in the seminar.
A Seminar on Agile Systems was organized in Visveswaraiah Auditorium, B Block of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 20th February 2018.
Year students of CSE department attended the seminar. The seminar was presented by Mrs. Sudha Suchitra Reddy, Director, Lore Agile Systems, Georgia, USA. The topics that were covered in the seminar include Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Model, Scaled Agile and Devops, Roles and Responsibilities of Developers and Testers and Project Maintenance. The resource person also pointed out many e-resources relating to the topic to understand the subject better. The students were immensely inspired by the program.
An event was organized in the CSE department on 15th March 2018 to impart the importance of innovation to the students. Dr. K. Rajasekhar, Director, Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell, KL university was the resource person. Mr. Rajasekhar explained how to promote innovation so as to create an ecosystem that is conductive for the growth of startups in the state.
He emphasized the two objectives of nurturing entrepreneurship in people who have a passion for knowledge generation and mentoring and making entrepreneurially-driven communication initiatives recognized as vital for supporting the sustainability of indigenous enterprises.
A one week National Level Faculty Development Program on “Graph Algorithms” was organized in the CSE Department from 26th December 2017 to 31st December 2017.
During the program, resource person, Dr. G. Ramakrishna, Associate Professor from IIT, Tirupati dealt with interesting topics covering various interesting graph algorithms, their design and practical applications.
All faculty members of CSE Department of Narayana Engineering College, Nellore participated in the program apart from faculty members who joined from other Engineering Colleges in India. Participants were awarded with Certificates of Participation at the end of the Program.
A one week Faculty Development Program on “Python” was organized in the CSE department from 8th February 2018 to 14th February 2018.
The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. B. Geetha Vani, Professor and Head,
CSE Department, Narayana Engineering College, Nellore on 8th February 2018. Mr. K. J. Sri Harsha serving as an Assistant Professor in the CSE Department of Narayana
Engineering Colelge, Nellore conducted the FDP. The FDP was aimed at providing a good foundation in programming using Python Language. Faculty members
of CSE Department and MCA Department of Narayana Engineering College were invited for the FDP Program.
A two day Faculty Development Program on “LMS to Teach Programming Languages” was organized in the A Block of Narayana Engineering College from 30th of November to 1st of December 2017.
The FDP was conducted by Mr. T.S.V. Ramana, CEO of CodeTantra. Faculty members of the Department of CSE participated in the FDP and appreciated the improvement and effectiveness of the teaching technique as compared to the
conventional teaching methodology.
